This lock is designed as a deterrent style lock. That means that it is OK for a quick stop, at the store for instance and will deter any thieves from taking your bike. Good for a quick in and out, when you ain't gotta nobody to watch ? use the Combat Lock. We strongly recommend choosing a higher security lock for long term or high security situations.
